  • Firms' awareness of and compliance with unfair terms in consumer contracts regulation

    http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pubs/consumer-research/crpr66.pdf

    Basically a report to assist the FSA in ensuring firms have access to the information in an understandable way in order to amend systems and processes in order to comply with changes to the regulations.

    The aim of this report is to provide a clear understanding of the following issues within the three
    regulatory divisions, Major Retail Groups Division (MRGD), Retail Firms Division (RFD) and Small
    Firms Division (SFD):
    • the awareness of the requirements of the UCT Regulations;
    • the level of compliance with the UCT Regulations;
    • whether senior management collects and reviews Management Information (MI) on
    unfair terms;
    • whether firms have had previous contact with the FSA regarding the UCT Regulations and
    what effect this has on compliance; and
    • what firms think the FSA can do to help firms fully understand the regulatory and legal
    requirements with regard to consumer contracts.
