The British Bankers' Association said: "The court has adjourned until 14:00hrs tomorrow [Friday 23 May] but the Judge has already indicated that the banks will be given permission to appeal the ruling that the terms are assessable for fairness."
"Once the precise terms of this permission are agreed tomorrow the banks will progress the appeal with expedition. A further statement will be issued at the conclusion of the hearing."
