  • Powerful comments?

A colleague at PC has received this response from Lloyds after enquiring about what the bank intends to do after the CMC next week.

Remakably, Lloyds seem to think that ''Importantly, the judge made some powerful comments to encourage the county courts to keep the cases on hold until the test case process is concluded.''

We've responded by quoting some extracts from the test case transcipts in which the judge is saying quite the opposite.

    Dear Jayne

    Thanks for your further email.

I have passed your email to our Customer Service Recovery Centre in Andover as they are dealing with bank charge complaints and asked that they respond to you directly.

However, for the time being the FSA waiver will remain in place, at least until July, and we are hopeful that it will continue to remain in place until the conclusion of the test case. Importantly, the judge made some powerful comments to encourage the county courts to keep the cases on hold until the test case process is concluded. Like our customers, we are keen to see a swift resolution to this matter because we all want clarity. We will be working with the Court, the other banks and the OFT to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Further information on this can be found at the link below:

If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

    Many Thanks

I'd love to know which version of the transcripts Lloyds were reading then!, I've heard of reading between the lines but that's ridiculous.
