Millions of customers are in line for substantial refunds after Britain's biggest banks today lost a landmark case over unauthorised overdraft charges. The Office of Fair Trading will now be allowed to decide whether it was unfair that banks charge borrowers fees of up to £39 for exceeding overdrafts.
