I asked the OFT's ever helpful Kate Farrow a few questions regarding the handing down of the test case judgement.
Although there's no news on when, it looks like the event will be staged at the Royal Courts of Justice rather than the International Dispute and Resolution Centre where the hearing took place.
Do you know if any public places would be made available on the handing down of judgement? I have been trying to find out from the court service but without success.
The commercial court have looked into ensuring that we have as large as court room as possible for the handing down of the Judgment. Now that the Diana inquest is over we should be able to have a large room. However, they will not be able to allocate a room until the date of the judgement handing down is confirmed. If there is little public/press they will consider a media annex as we had at the IDRC.
Will the full written judgement be made available by the OFT?
The Court will hand out copies of the Judgment to press and public after the handing down of the judgment has been done on the day. We also intend to publish it on our website as soon as practicable.
Is there any further indication as to when judgement will be made?
No further indication about when Judgment may be.
