Well the only issue i have with the new guidelines is this - display delivery charges clearly and early on in the purchasing process.

Basically their is no reason for it, no one is expected to carry on with the purchase if they don't like th delivery charge. Not only that some sites offer various shipping methods, and shopping carts are set up to ask what shipping method the customer would want and what their delivery addres is half way through or towards the end of the cart process, the cart process before that is simply confirming the items you wish to purchase and to set up an account, which to be honest is a security measure. So now they want us to take people details prior to them setting up a secure account as thats the only way possible with certain shopping carts? I don't think so, as am not risking customers data just to show the postage options earlier. Changing the shopping cart process is no simple task, it means a compelte overhaul of the shopping cart. Yes we could display the postage on the product pages, but postage is determined by weight of the product and each product is different in weight a white board weights more than a pack of pencils. So it would be redesign of the SQLdatabase. Whos going to pay such costs?

The rest am not concerned with as it doesn't matter to us how remote they are, the postage is still the same regards of what option they choose.
