    Ok I get what you say but you are not answering my complaint so please answer the following;
As I have already said I cancelled both within the ten days cancellation period as stated once I read cases like my current one.As you can see from your records I have not used either site since then-why would I as far as I'm concerned I'd cancelled.
I agree that once I realised you were still taking payments and contacted you then everything was cancelled but and its a big but why were all my subsequent e-mails requesting a refund totally ignored? It was only once I posted on here that you had the decency to answer my complaint.
I am in total agreement with Angry Cat that it would have been better to have answered my e-mails personally that in open forum but I'm afraid to say it epitomises the sort of service I and others have had from you.
So Toni over to you- any chance of a refund?Oh and by the way its not meant as a deformation of you its just that despite what you say you DO ignore e-mails(I have proof) so why should I believe you saying that your cancellation procedure is simple!!
    examiner,

I suggest, that your write a letter of complaint setting out your concerns!
Please send this by recorded delivery; keep copies.

      Examiner
My apologies for the delay in getting back to you, even I get some time off for good behavior.

Following on from your blog, if you have cancelled within the 10 days and are still being charged then yes should be entitled to a refund on any charges made after that date but, without your member number and/or personal details I’m not able to track your details and wouldn’t be able a definite yes or no.

May I suggest that you call into our Customer Service Department 44 (0) 870 143 2343 and ask for me? From there I’ll be able to review your case personally.

      Take care
      Toni

Re: Credit rating matters and Rewards first

        Hi Toni,

Thank you for you reply as a representative of the Reputation Management department of Adaptive Affinity
Yes, I have received 1 email on 17/5/11 from you regarding this after you having being contacted by Gemma Bowen at consumer focus. I also replied to your email on 18/5/11 and copied you in on all emails between myself & rewards first and as yet have not received a reply (nor a read receipt, but I did get one from Razia Bibi). Please see below for email sent:

Thank you for taking the time to look into my complaint, although you probably have access to all correspondence between myself & rewards first, please see attached email which covers all the points raised in your reply other than your ability to send yourself an email, which does not constitute proof that you sent a deliverable email to myself (whereas a read receipt would)

In response to not logging into your programme ("although it is a membership programme") I did not do so because I was not actually aware I was a member, due to lack of confirmation, either onscreen or by the promised "welcome email" upon which it all hinges. I was also fully intent on cancelling the membership upon receipt of the "welcome letter" should it arrive as I was unsure the process was completed (due to lack of onscreen confirmation) to the extent that I had prepared a pre addressed envelope containing the information required other than the membership number. I was also specifically checking all emails received in my inbox, spam file & deleted file, our computer security settings are as standard & we do receive a "healthy" amount of spam emails although no initial "welcome email" from rewards first was ever received, nor was any other email received in the 4-5 months I was supposedly a member regarding special offers, bargains, promotions etc which is the least I would expect from a company providing a "service" which is paid for.
I would like to request again a full refund of the monies removed from my account without my prior knowledge in respect of no services having actually been provided by your company.

I have now logged a complaint with consumer direct & whilst I appreciate that you are probably extremely busy in your position in the Reputation Management Department (if the 56 pages of complaints on money saving expert are anything to go by) I would like to see an end to this unsovoury matter as soon as possible & would be grateful if you could attend to this promptly.

        Kind Regards,
        Helen

Re: Credit rating matters and Rewards first

          Toni
like you I have had some time off that is why I have not replied before. As I work the same hours your office is open,it is impossible for me to contact you by phone and as any e-mails to your customer service department go unanswered I have to resort to contacting you on here.
My customer no. is 920769370 the rest of my details you can get from that.
In short to confirm what I have already said:- After realising what both your websites were about I cancelled my subscriptions well within the 10 day period and as I received no further e-mails or anything from you I assumed that was the end of it, that can be confirmed by you by checking the lack of any activity by me on your sites since then.
So for the last time as this has gone on long enough I am giving you one last chance to refund all monies taken from me before I take further steps.

Re: Credit rating matters and Rewards first

Just to say I have now e-mailed this Toni Morrison twice now and left messages on here and as I expected she has not had the decency to reply in any way.The two firms involved i.e Credit Rating Matters and Rewards First are just out to get money from people and have no customer care at all.I am now looking into legal proceedings and passing all details onto the media.
So Toni if as you say you do monitor this site don't blame anyone but yourselves for any negative publicity on here or elsewhere!!

Re: Credit rating matters and Rewards first

                    Update.

At last I've had a response but still the same old runaround as everyone else all they keep asking for is proof of cancellation ie copy of e-mail sent cancelling.Does anyone keep copies for about a year? And as I and others have said to them their records must show I have never used their site at all then that must tell them something is wrong with their system.I have now requested a refund fo for the last time giving them 48 hrs to repay as I do not intend to let this matter drop.

For advice AVOID BOTH CREDIT RATING MATTERS AND REWARDS FIRST if you don't want to be ripped off!!!!

Re: Credit rating matters and Rewards first

Hi I am slightly amazed due to..I was canvassed by Hello Mobile who offered me membership to Rewards First and Credit Rating Matters as a 'Gift' with the Mobile phone and contract with Vodafone. I said that I did not want these memberships and soon after I was refused the Vodafone 'deal'...Next thing I know is two lots of £14.95 are taken from my account by Rewards First and Credit Rating Matters,to which my bank suggests cancelling my Visa Card and hope that they don't draw more money from my new one !??? So I called Credit Rating Matters who asked me to call Hello Mobile who were not answering on any numbers so back to Credit...and a nice lady listened then said she would cancel the membership and refund both amounts. After having done a bit of research first I was shocked and grateful. So watch this space and will notify when my money is returned. Onitpaul

Re: Credit rating matters and Rewards first

I am thrilled to have stumbled across this website and to discover that I am not the only person that has been taken for a fool by Rewardsfirst. I was checking through my credit card statement recently and discovered a transaction of £14.95 from Rewardsfirst, I contacted my credit card company and explained that there must be a mistake as I had never contacted this company. On further investigating I discoverd that the first transaction was taken from my account on 7th February immediately after I made a purchase from The Hut. To date the company has taken 6 x £14.95 (£89.70) from my account. I phoned Rewardsfirst for an explanation and to demand a refund as I had absolutely no idea what this was all about. The girl on the phone said that she would cancel my subscription but that she would not give me a refund. To date I have not received a cancellation email. I have emailed the company today to ask if they can send confirmation that my subscription has been cancelled. I would be delighted if someone could please advise the proper legal steps I should take in order to reclaim my £89.70. I have never received a ‘membership email’ from Rewards first and I have never accessed their website. I am shocked that this practice is legal and will not accept being treated so unfairly.
