  • Abbey Bank Rejection Letters dated December 2009: When does the 8 weeks begin?

I have emailed Abbey for a clarification on this matter and this is their response:

I would like to confirm for the letters dated December 2009, the 8 week timescale begins from the 31 December 2009.

I hope this clarifies the details you require, please respond to this email should you have any further queries.

    Kind Regards

    Raisa Anwar

That means that 8 weeks from that date is: 25th February 2010.

Thanks Nattie for doing that and asking for clarification as I had seen your post on CAG where you had stated as they postmarked the letter DEC09 it was assumed to be the 1st December and that 8 weeks would run out 8 weeks latter.

Once you have a response I can wait a while to send them a letter as it was only based on what you had said that I was going to write and I would rather wait untill more information is available before I jump in.

Re: Abbey Bank Rejection Letters dated December 2009: When does the 8 weeks begin?

Abbey's response to the question was that the timeframe starts 31st December 2009. Unfortunately, I did speculate on the date without formerly checking which I should have done earlier. Kinda got sidetracked with other things.
Raisa Anwar has confirmed the date when the timeframe begins this morning so please get the message out there wherever or whichever forum you post on as some people will assume the end of January is their end date when in fact it is the end of February.
