  • Consumer Charter-----Bedtime Reading or Time to Burn or a great opportunity?

I have to say that I plead ignorance of the Consumer Charter and have tried to do a search on a well known search engine but I have yet to read the consumer charter being touted by the three largest sites on bank charges, namely CAG, PC and MSE, even though I am regular on the latter two. Anyone read it? Is it bedtime reading or is Time to burn while the OFT are making a decision or is it a fantastic opportunity for the consumer to get the banks to sit up?
Am off to read it now.

I have just read it and to say I am disappointed is an understatement, is this the best all three sites can come up with? What purpose is the charter? I am an admirer of the people behind all three sites, but that charter is embarrassing, and I am sorry to have to say this.

That we actually develop strategies than deal with a consumer charter which could lead onto a consumer champion. It is rhetoric of the highest nature. Do a search on consumer charter on google, msn or yahoo, it does show a lot of them. Have we not got better things to do?
