According to the FOS annual report, released today, (don;t yawn!)
So if you have a credit card claim and they haven't paid after 8 weeks and don't want to go to court, then consider FOS.
One issue with going through FOS is IF they adjudicate (and it appears they arent having to) they would only allow a refund down to the £12 set by the OFT in 2006.
However as card companies appear to be simply ''informally by meeting their customers’ claims.'' we have to assume this is the full amount asked for.
Any experiences of going through FOS on CC claims ?
No credit-card company has so far chosen to
request a formal ombudsman decision on the
merits of these cases. Instead, the companies
have all preferred to settle the complaints
informally by meeting their customers’ claims.
