  • What happens if Natwest don't appeal?

    Hi everyone,

I know it's probably been asked somewhere already, but what happens if Natty West don't appeal?

And, when is their deadline for appealing?

I think it would be very unlikely that Natwest wouldn't appeal.

Not sure how long they have to seek leave to appeal but I'll try and find out.

      I believe its 21 days,

If I were them I would leave it until the last minute, if the test case appeal results are announced before 21 days they may well fudge some sort of compromise with OFT (in the interest of cost!!!) and they will settle anyway.
The charges coming in to the banking industry every day will more than pay the banks total legal bill for the whole test case so why wouldn’t the Banks want to "ensure Justice at the highest level"
