  • Banks ask FSA to extend Waiver past January 2009

All the banks involved in the test case have met recently with the FSA to discuss why the waiver should extend past January 2009. The meeting also covered the ''value'' of the test case.

The FSA is now consiering the banks' views that were put forward and will be having a further meeting to discuss extending the waiver.

With regards to the letters the OFT sent out to the banks giving their views on fairness of terms a couple of weeks ago the banks plan to give an industry wide response as well as individual responses covering each banks specific issues.
