Hi all. Not sure if this is the right forum or not...
I was quite ill. I have problems swallowing. For almost three months, I have been sick every morning. It is so bad, my teeth are actually rotting. Recently, I was so violently sick, I trapped a nerve in my neck. I am on about 20 pills each day to prevent pain, vomiting and choking.
After repeated calls from work, I went back in. Neck brace on, choking, being sick.
Work has a "no eating at desk policy" but as I didn't want to cause a scene in the canteen, I took my soup (In a sealed container supplied by the canteen) to my office (Locked office, nobody else in the area, etc.) I got an absurd email from the facilities manager, claiming I had endangered people by carrying "hot soup" down the corridor. I replied about my illness, giving symptoms, reasoning, etc., and how I wasn't prepared to humiliate myself in public by being sick in the canteen. I explained it was only soup and porridge, and that they were in sealed containers supplied by the canteen anyway.
Result: I have been suspended from my job, and am facing a disciplinary hearing on Monday.
Any help on my position would be appreciated...
