So people were putting claims in about me and now PayPal keep ringing me and saying they'll be taking it to debt collectors, I'm not sure what to do or say as o don't have the money and I'm only 18

Did you know that the goods were counterfeit when you were buying and selling them?

Unfortunately you may have to put this down to lesson learned ( hopefully ) and make an offer to Akinika to repay the debt. They may accept a monthly installment payment.

You will also have to sort out closing your account with Paypal and if other customers come forwards to reclaim their money after discovering they have purchased counterfeit goods you will have to refund them.

Are Trading standards prosecuting at all ?

You won'#t have any redress with the person you purchased the goods from, as to be fair, they are acting unlawfully and are unlikely to just refund you anything.... presumably you have given their details (as far as you know them) to TS ?

No I didn't the person had a warehouse with staff working for her. Trading standards are not doing anything in fact the boss showed up and said he was young once and laughed. They stated that I shouldn't have to pay due to the fact I give the money away I also have proof of the money being transferred over. Yes they took all items I closed my account straight after but they still could claim. I offered PayPal a pound a month due to me being a student and have no money at all. Some people didn't claim as they understood but a lot did. I have proof of trading standards warrant as they came with police. PayPal said that they won't take the offer so got the debt akinika involved and they emailed me saying I need to get in touch but I haven't yet as not sure what to say

            Re: PayPal negative balance

You will have to pay Paypal and take action against the person you brought the goods from not much else you can do you owe Paypal not the other person,
A hard lesson but their are people who have been scammed of big money you were in a sense lucky

              Re: PayPal negative balance

Is the company a registered Ltd company and did they sell the goods to you AS counterfeits ? If not and you thought you were buying the genuine item then you would have a claim against them for the products you purchased. Have you spoken/ written to the sellers since this happened with TS ?

How much did you sell ( ie how much would you owe if everyone asked for a refund )?

As Wales sense you are in a sense lucky, we see people on here daily that have lost many thousands of pounds because they have paid a seller via bank transfer for goods that have never arrived.
Remember a warehouse doesn't mean legitimacy. And paying by bank transfer needs to be considered very carefully.

The Paypal issue won't be helped by the Trading Standards issue though I'm afraid, legally you are responsible for repaying the customers who bought your goods, and thus are now in debt with Paypal.

Aninika you should write to with a copy of your income and expenditure sheet and make an offer of say £10 a month, or more if you can. Otherwise they could end up in court action against you which could bugger up your credit file for the next 6 years.
