  • Fined for no car insurance and 6 points no notification of letter to attend court

PLEASE HELP I have just had a letter through from magistrates court to say I have been fined £881 and given 6 points I had no idea this would be going to court and its seems so unfair that they couldn't hear my say!

      Good morning,
Were you stopped by police (ANPR) which would mean car
would most likely have been seized.
OR left the uninsured car on the public roads and it's been
picked up by DVL's ANPR vehicles.

      Clarify please.
      Why was there no insurance?
      Was the car SORN?
      Was it on public roads.

I had payed my car insurance in full for nissan micra but had to get a newer one as this one died. I phoned my insurance company to explain change of vehicle but had said that i was unable to pay the extra £50 admin fee untill the FRIDAY the MY INSURER said that i had payed in full and friday would be excepted for the payment, the very next day was stopped by the police as my vehicle was registered as uninsured ??

Were you insured at the time you were stopped if so with proof you will get this cancelled the insurance company can provide proof.
If you were insured the day before the offence and the day after but not the day in question you will be guilty .

          Have you contacted the Insurer?
