  • Help, problem with a charging order

Hi guys, new to this forum, so would appreciate any help. I had a furniture business back in the early 2000,s and was unfortunately forced into liquidation by the vat man, for getting behind . This was in 2006. I used to rent the shops, and when I went bust, I was behind on rent, due to the financial stress and problems of the situation. As with many leases, you have to give a personal guarantee, and one landlord, released me from this, as I was losing my business, marriage, everything. The other landlord, who I had the lease assigned from the previous tenant, had a charging order slapped onto my house. I don't remember too much about these dark times, as I had a bit of a breakdown at the time, but I have just got home, after 8 years of silence, to a solicitor letter, stating that Mr Hussain wants the order settled to the sum of £22738, £13k rent plus interest!I really could do with some advice guys, as very stressed,
    Thank you in anticipation,
    Regards
    Tony
