I have just received a letter from Reston Solicitor, acting for Marlin, requesting for payment of a debt that was owed to HSBC since 2007. However, the debt went into default in March 2010. The outstanding amount stands to be £2900, as it appears on the letter from Reston.
Reston gave me up till 24th Nov. to respond otherwise will institute a claim against me at the Court.
Please, what are your possible advices.
Cheers!
N.B!
Reston's letter does not mentioned the original creditor, date of default. It only mentioned the £2900, for Marlin. I have not even received any communication from Marlin, so I may not even know who Marlin is. However, I presume it may be HSBC, because they are the only creditor I know for sure I owed and defaulted in the past!!
