westcot number one got my bank details how ?

    westcot number one got my bank details how ?

    Just a quick one for you guys
    So I check my bank statement this morning via my phone app.

    I see that a company wescot Number one have taken £36.00 from my account.

    I do not have a clue who they are or what it relates to . I have never given these people my account / bank details ,I never would .

    A quick google search shows they are a debt collector ?

    How can this be possible ? I have not had any letter nor have I ever received any notification from them that I owe money to them because I would question it.

    Can anyone shed any light ? have they broken the law ? can they obtain my bank details legally from a third party who have them ?

    Who are they and who do they collect on whos behalf ?

    From the original creditor

    You need to contact your bank and request a charge back as you do not recognise this company called Westcot

      I have no idea who they are . A Google search says they maybe be a debt collector .

        I would also be threatening them with court action if they do not cease. And also request who or where they got your bank details from.

          Westcot are debt collectors

          They buy delinquent accounts for pennies from your past crditors then try and colect the full balance

            Hello Kim,

            Were you in any kind of payment arrangement with a creditor and servicing the arrangement via a debt card?
            Tell your bank the payment was unauthorised and demand that they reverse it immediately, don't let them tell
            you it can't be done.

              Thanks guys
              I have no idea how they have gotten my account details or what the amount us claimed to be owed by me .
              I have seen some horror stories and getting worried now .
