I'm 15 weeks pregnant and I was desperately needing the toilet the closest place was asdas but unfortunately I'm banned from.entering the store ao I sent my mother in to ask if I could use the toilet as being pregnant I always need the toilet my mother spoke to one of the managers and they refused me to use their toilets I would like to know if I could sue them as I know its against the law to refuse someone to use the toilet whether they're banned or not! Can someone help me out please and let me know if I can sue them or not please x

    In a word no.

What on earth makes you think it is against the law to not permit someone to use the toilet?

Which law did you have iin mind?

        Re: asdas

I have heard a pregnant woman can pee in a policeman's hat (if she was desperate)

Have you thought about putting in a complaint??

I put a complaint in and they answered me back and basically they didn't care about the matter. Asdas is always saying they're happy to help people but in my eyes at the moment they are useless tbh! If a policeman was around I would have asked him for his hat I'll

            Re: asdas

There's quite a few myths about use of toilets for pregnant women. If you hadn't been banned from the shop then they would probably be seen as being unreasonable - there's been a few press articles against stores (and police stations it seems) refusing access to toilets to pregnant ladies, however as far as I am aware there is no specific law, and that you had been barred from the ASDA store for other reasons previously, it's exceedingly unlikely they would have had any obligation to allow you to use their facilities.

(oh, and the policeman's helmet thing is just a myth )

you could try a formal complaint to the CEO of Asda UK andy.clarke@asda.co.uk (http://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=b-9025&c=ASDA%20UK) ... it might be worth a try anyway? TBH, if anyone had told me no if I needed the loo when I was pregnant with my LG, I would have created such a scene they would have relented (even if they had to stand outside the door) :tinysmile_twink_t2:

Thank.u Kat will try that now. I wouldn't have minded if they stood outside the door but with the rude attitude as well they spoke in wasn't acceptable. And asdas banned me for falsely accusing me of shoplifting even tho there was no evidence and I would never shoplift in lift either I've always got money in my purse to pay for all my shopping.
