My daughter has been offered a new job which the start date has been moved (its a brand new salon). The salon hasn't quite been finished being refurbed blah blah blah
Anyway, my question is.....Under any employment law, does this new employer need to pay her from the signed contractual date (which is the 11th July). The new date is now the 24th July.
In the meantime, my daughter has left her present job, leaving her currently unemployed until the salon is ready.
I did warn my daughter about not leaving her present job before the new salon was up and running, but my 21 year old daughter knows it all and I think we all know the score if the salon doesn't actually open (god forbid)
Where does my daughter stand? Does the new employer need to honour the original start date in terms of salary?
Thanks in advance
