  • Meridian Radio Debate 30 July 2012. Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

    Hi All

Tomorrow between 09.00/11.00am is a live radio debate about the facts of this deadly gas. You will be surprised to know the truth about the gas industry. I'm a guest on the show.

Duly signed, Steve. Some years back, me, my wife and our eldest daughter were poisoned by CO from a badly installed and un-maintained gas boiler in a privately rented house. The landlord would have seen us die, rather than get the boiler properly checked. He sent the bunch of cowboys who had installed it to check it, and they pronounced it perfectly fit, despite the brown stains around it. We got an independent check done, and both the boiler and the living-room gas fire were 'red-stickered' as dangerously unfit for use.

The landlord reluctantly got the necessary work done, and the headaches we had all been getting mysteriously stopped !!!

Can you post a recording of the discussion here for future reference ?

Signed and the link will be shared on facebook.

My dearest friend Andy's late boyfriend died from carbon monoxide poisoning after his central heating was not correctly tested. Andy is canadian, Jay was australian so they didn't know what to look out for in a heating survey (personally I think landlords should be forced to hand out leaflets on what to expect etc.

Thank you for doing this.. with all my heart.
