    OFT Annual Plan

    Annual Plan 2010-11 consultation
    Starting date: 13 November 2009
    Closing date: 5 February 2010

The OFT is conducting a public consultation on its draft Annual Plan for 2010-11. Section 3(2) of the Enterprise Act 2002 requires that the OFT shall, for the purposes of public consultation, publish a document containing proposals for its annual plan at least two months before publishing the annual plan for any year
This consultation is intended to give stakeholders the opportunity to provide views and comments on the OFT's proposed Annual Plan for 2010-11, which sets out our main objectives and priorities for the year.
The draft Annual Plan highlights some key external factors we will be responding to in 2010-11. This includes the increasing impact of online transactions and the potential for greater government intervention in markets. It also sets out the key themes that will cut across our work:
    • high impact enforcement
    • influencing and changing behaviour
    • delivery and capability

We are keen to hear from all those with an interest in our work.
We will collate responses to the consultation and publish a formal summary of these, along with a final version of the amended Annual Plan 2010-11 in March 2010, taking into consideration comments made in response to the consultation.
