    Hi
today I received a threatening letter from Bank Smart threatening to take me to court for an outstanding payment of £2000. It is a payment I have always refused to pay as they were trying to claim commission from something I settled myself. This goes back to Aug 2018, they said they are prepared to accept a lump some payment of £950 or to get in touch within 14 days to come to an arrangement.
    your advice would be welcome.

You need to email a formal complaint (and clearly marked as such) on the basis you have outlined. If they reject the complaint (which they almost certainly will) or they don't give you a final response within 8 weeks then register your complaint with the FOS Claims Management Ombudsman (financial-ombudsman.org.uk)
