Re: Motorist calls for regulation in private parking industry

Just wondering, will this actually be resolved this week, or do we have to wait months for the decisions?

I'm also wondering what will happen to tickets that have already been discarded. For example, I wrote to about 3 PPCs in the last few years and they just didn't respond at all after my 1st letter, they just disappeared. I'm sure I'm can't be the only one..

Call me a cynic, but when there's a whole industry & enormous sums of money at stake, I just don't have any faith in justice (that's why I'm here after all)..

I wonder how many of these tickets will be dug up & re-issued if the PPCs either win, or at least win the right to charge something..

Due to holidays it'll be at least October. It would be highly unusual to get an immediate answer from supreme court.

A ticket already cancelled is finished. Otherwise anything not statute barred is fair game. If PE win it'll be feeding time for the sharks of that there is no doubt and all the old tickets will be a priority so they don't become statute barred.

Okay, not a lot of interest, weirdly, as it was quite a fascinating day.

So all over, the judgment isn't really expected before October due to summer recess.

I'm not feeling particularly full of confidence.
