If it’s a bank holiday anywhere in the UK your payment should be early. If you are due to receive benefit or tax credit payments on Friday or Monday you should receive the payment on THURSDAY 2nd APRIL.

Your Child Benefit payment is usually paid early if it’s due on a bank holiday. So it should be paid on Thursday 2nd April if you are usually paid on Friday or Monday.

Good Friday: Open as normal
Saturday April 4: Open as normal
Easter Sunday: Closed in England & Wales and Northern Ireland, normal hours in Scotland
Easter Monday: 9am – 6pm for England and Wales, normal hours for Scotland and 10am – 7pm for Northern Ireland
Sainsbury’s
Most stores are open as usual over Easter. For your local store opening times, check the Sainsbury’s website.
Lidl
Good Friday: Open as normal
Saturday April 4: Open as normal
Easter Sunday: Closed (open as normal in Scotland)
Easter Monday: 8am – 6pm
Aldi
Good Friday 3rd April: 8am – 9pm
Saturday April 4: 8am – 10pm
Easter Sunday 5th: Closed
Easter Monday 6th: 8am – 9pm
Tuesday 7th 8am – 10pm
