When I go to the local remembrance Sunday parade it is usually cold, wet and windy. For the hour or so I stand there I imagine what it must have been like for those chaps in the trenches who had to put up with atrocious living conditions as well as having to march like sacrificial lemmings into the firing line. It is only one hour each year -so very little for those who gave so much.

I have not seen a poppy seller and I have been into 4 large shopping areas in last week?
