Guidance aimed at business to help them understand new consumer rights on misleading or aggressive selling in the Consumer Protection (Amendment) Regulations 2014. It also provides guidance on what action consumers may be able to take against them.
These regulations will allow consumers to seek redress from traders by bringing their own private actions in the civil courts. The new rights come into force on 1 October 2014.
Consumers can also use the guidance to help them decide if they can use the new rights to take action against a trader.
