Does this surprise anyone ?
Tobacco cigarettes kill millions every year. eCigarettes contain none of the bad parts of normal cigarettes, only Nicotine (which while addictive is not harmful), because you don't actually burn anything. I know loads of people who have successfully kicked the tobacco habit by switching to 'Vaping' eCigarettes. Indeed, for many it is merely a stepping stone to quitting altogether.
But it seems our MEP's are totally open to being lobbied (i.e. influenced) by the big pharma and tobacco companies. Are they scared of the taxes they will lose ?
Despite all of their assertions, this decision gives the clear message that they do not really care about the health of the general population or they would have banned tobacco cigarettes totally as well.
What are these Politicians hiding ?
