  • Credit Card Fraud is easy

I was on holiday earlier in the summer and as with most of my holidays, I like to take advantage of the duty free cigaretts, bringing plenty home to last me till my next holiday.
So I was in Greece, well Rhodes really and found a local store where I could buy ciggies at a great price. I ordered 6000 which came to roughly £500, a massive saving on what they cost at home. As I have a habit of switching cards on a regular basis (card tarting) I put it on my capital one card. The shopkeeper swiftly swished my card through his swiper and gave it back, NO pin asked for, NO signature, he didn't even ask to see my passport. OK I got home and paid it off, My problem is; Why is it so easy to defraud the credit card companies? They introduced chip 'N' pin and I didn't need to use it, There is a signature strip and I wasn't asked to sign anything. I have now dumped Capital one after I phoned them of my concerns and was told not to worry. 'Well I do worry' so Cap One you're history.

    Beware,
    Hod.Liam..

Borrow money from a pessimist -- they don't expect it back.
