The BBC News website's Your Money section has won the title of financial consumer website of the year.
The annual Headlinemoney awards celebrate personal finance journalism and praised the BBC's "superlative" breaking news coverage.

The BBC topped a shortlist that included the Times, Guardian Money, Thisismoney and Moneysavingexpert.com.
BBC business editor Robert Peston won the personal finance broadcaster of the year award.

    Praise
The judges said the Your Money section - part of the Business pages on the BBC News website - was "difficult to fault".
"Content was reckoned to be accessible and simple to navigate, with a good balance between written and audio," read their report.

"It is the first point of call for breaking national financial news."

The BBC News website's business editor Tim Weber said "most of the praise has to go to our personal finance reporters, Ian Pollock and Kevin Peachey, who - supported by the rest of the business team - provided information and guidance to our readers on coping with the downturn and recession".

The business section of the BBC News website has seen its reach grow sharply since the start of the credit crunch, and now regularly attracts 1.5 million readers a day. On the day the BBC broke the story of the proposed merger of HBOS and Lloyds TSB, the business pages had more than 2.6 million readers.

BBC business editor Robert Peston was named the personal finance broadcaster of the year for his scoop-laden coverage of the credit crunch.

He has already won a string of awards for his work explaining the banking crisis and the judges of the latest award said his live broadcasts and blog addressed issues at the heart of everyone's personal finances.
Second place in the category went jointly to Sarah Pennells of the BBC News Channel and Paul Lewis of BBC Radio's Money Box.

Other winners on the night included Guardian Money for title of the year and John Lappin of Money Marketing as journalist of the year.
