NBC investigate rogue American debt companies:
On Sunday night on Dateline NBC, investigative reporter Chris Hansen showed that some might actually be scamming people. His story featured two debt collection agencies from Western New York!
Hansen's report showed cases where the debt collectors were using illegal techniques, posing as police officers and even threatening people. Hidden cameras were also used in some of these operations to show the kinds of techniques that they had been using.'
