I am sorry to say that DSlippy has passed away.
I had known him in real life for several years, as well as here and on the old swarblaw forum. He was an experienced solicitor, in practice for the best part of 50 years, with his own firm in the North of England. He was also one of the first to see the possibilities for the use of computers in law. Amongst other things he created and maintained a database of decided cases, sorted and tagged to make relevant cases easier to find.
But above all, he was a wise and compassionate man - father and grandfather as well as lawyer.
