It ain't exactly brain surgery. 1st most people beyond the age of a teenager know what is meant by a CU & that you open an account (with proof of ID) you pay into that account what you can afford then you borrow an amount to say buy a new washing machine or put food on the table etc which you then repay at a very reasonable rate of %

Sorry Righty but you are wrong! I dint know what a credit union was untill a couple of years ago, and as I was reading this I was on the phone and asked my friend if she knew what a credit union was...she thought it was like western union how to send money abroad...

Credit unions escape the notice of the majority.
