      Goodwin won't starve, his £8.4million pension pot will see to that. As for Sir Tom, I am sure he will be similarly protected against the mess they both helped cause.

        They are, and it is a pity that the government did not or does not(in the case of Sir Tom McKillop) do anything about that. The toxic debts from ABN AMRO is reputed to be 20 billion pounds. The worst deal in corporate history and the likelyhood is the Stephen Hester may well get rid of overseas companies, so that was a waste of money in the first place. Stupidity lead to a lack of liquidity.
