I don't think interest rates will go as low as 2%. The financial markets themselves which seemed to start this frenzy of horror we have seen seem on the face of it to be stabilising for now. The problem is that we have talked ourselves into a recession which means we do not want to spend money when that is the only way we will get ourselves out of the it. I have read more jobs are to go in my sector which may be unexpected(cos I haven't read the article yet :o ) Next year, jobs in banking ARE going at the enlarged LloydsTSB Group(with HBOS).
