deceased uncle omitted from Title research

My Aunty died without making a will in February 2016. A neice appointed a solicitor. The solicitors then asked a company to conduct a search of relatives. I have learned recently that whilst the eldest half sister has been included in the search. An older half brother born to the same mother has been completely omitted from the search and unaccounted for. My aunt has four deceased full siblings, one my own father. Should all children born of the same maternal parent be accounted for in a title search for probate perposes? If so, how can this omission be righted. I have photos of my uncle with his mother. Sadly both he and his son, my cousin are both deceased.
I appreciate any thoughts regarding this. Thank You.

For 'probate purposes' I assume you mean for someone to be able to distribute the estate ?
To do this a relative has to apply to the probate office for a grant of representation, this then enables them to deal with the estate as an executor would had there been a will and an executor named.
If this is the case and the other relation is willing to leave that responsibility to them then that's ok, it will not affect his right to his inheritance, which under intestate has very strict rules info HERE
I would have a word with either the relative or the solicitor to make sure they are aware of the other relative entitled to inherit.

Both Solicitor and Administrator know about Uncle. But he was left out of Title research altogether.

I would then get all the evidence to prove the entitlement, birth certificates, marriage certificates and probably proof of ID. The 'search' company should do a family tree for an intestate estate. Your relative, if all is well with the proof etc should be on the family tree. It looks like the 'search' company has not done a thorough job and the solicitor who employed them should deal with that.
