  • Do I need Additional Copies of Sealed Probate Grant?

I have dealt with Probate for my stepmother's estate myself. I requested 3 Sealed copies of the Grant thinking one for the solicitor, one for the bank and one for myself to give copies to whoever asks for one. I now find the solicitor needs two copies (for Land Registry and Court of Protection) and the Bank want one.
Will the Bank want to keep their copy or will they take a copy and return it to me?
If the Bank keeps the copy how do I apply for an additional sealed copy? I know it is 10 pounds for an additional sealed Grant but how do I apply for it, a letter and cheque or is there a form I need to complete.

Just a letter and cheque to the District Registry that dealt with it will be fine.

If you requester than one copy, the first copy is £10 and each subsequent copy requested at the same time is 50p, so you might as well get 11 copies for £15, you never know who is going to ask for a copy.
