I'd forgotten about this thread.
Eventually found the care home in Caerphilly but the owner had been told not to allow any phone calls to her. The evening staff were more agreeable and we were put through on many occasions to talk to her. She appeared to have been medicated so much that not a lot made sense but she did recognise her nieces calling.
Tried to contact her again early this year only to be told that she had died a couple of months previously. The nieces had not been informed and from we managed to glean she was cremated rather than being laid to rest beside her husband in the prepared grave in Brighton.
