    hi all , just need some advice regarding a will , it was drawn up by a solicitor, does a will have to be read out by a solicitor?, or can it just be read out by the next of kin ?. thanks any help would be useful..

    The only person who needs to read (and then implement it it) is the executor(s).
    No dramatic theatrics required

      Des is, as usual, right

      It's only in Agatha Christie country that you have the family gathered in the library for the solicitor to read the will with startling revelations for all:tinysmile_twink_t2:

      However, if the estate or the terms of the will are unusually complex it's probably wise to get a professional to explain the ramifications in practical terms to those concerned.
