  • SIngle or joint will

    Hi.
Before we married a couple of years ago, my wife and I lived next door to each other, each owning our own house and having our own bank accounts. We have maintained this arrangement as it suits us, but we have had a door made between the 2 houses (please note the houses still have their individual addresses).
We would like to make a joint will leaving everything to the surviving partner or in the case of us both passing away at the same time (eg accident) leaving everything to our daughter.
We have had conflicting advice from some areas to the effect that it would be a lot easier to have 2 separate wills so I'm asking if anybody can see a problem with a joint will providing everything is listed properly, or would it cause problems that we have not foreseen.
Any advice, especially on any problems that could occur, would be gratefully received.
    Thank you.

2 wills. There is no alternative.
