My parents brought a house together back in the 50s, they split and I remained living with my father. He remarried.
When I moved out, as a young man, I left a lot of my personal items there, things from childhood and teenage years, they remained stored in the loft.
My father passed and more recently my step mum passed. I am a beneficiary and my step brother is the executor.
He is not doing a great job but that’s another story,
I would like to know, do my items in the loft still belong to me? Do I have a legal right to request to collect them? As I would really like to have my stuff rather than it be chucked in a skip.
There is also photos of my children that I would like, is there a way for me to get these legally if the executor just wants to be nasty about things.
