  • Request executor to stand down

Solicitor is executor who also executed Will which we have concerns over. They are not replying to requests despite saying they’d be impartial.
can non beneficiaries, but family member, request they stand down? My understanding is they can stand down voluntarily in which case an administrator will be appointed?

Non-beneficiaries to a will can ask the executor to stand down but the executor is not required to do so. The solicitor can voluntarily stand down.
If the executor is not carrying out his duties properly and refuses to stand down, beneficiaries and/or co-executors need to apply to the court for a court order.
You haven't said what your concerns with the will are about.
