    Hi my grandma passed away how do I find out if she had a will?

    very sorry to hear about your grandma.
    First ask her close relatives. If they are not aware there is one, or think there is one but don't know where it is stored, search through the papers in her property.
    If this fails to uncover her will or any letters from solicitors saying they are storing her will, try phoning a few local solicitors and her bank manager.
    If she had a will drafted she probably asked the executors if they were prepared to deal with her estate. The executors could be friends, relatives or a solicitor.
    If all of the above fails to find her will, letters of administration may be required.

      Thanks for the help not good, I don't live in the midlands anymore, so I cant go around the property as I live in London, my mum ad aunty will be selling off the property so will have to sort it out.

        Could try searching National Will Register https://www.nationalwillregister.co.uk/register-a-will/
        It may just be there.
