  • VERY Puzzed? Help Needed!

Need some help with understanding the below?

My father died suddenly in 2018 Intestate.

My mother appointed herself as administrator of the 1.6 million pound estate, without my knowledge

My Mother lead me to believe he had a will until I found out in 2021 he did not, and in fact died Intestate!

I have been becoming more and more suspicious of the administrator acting dishonestly and have been trying to establish some facts/details, part of this process I have decided to start checking land registry for clues.

And am very puzzled by the below details I have found?

And need some help on weather I am reading to much into it or the below details are normal?

Now on land registry under "Title Register", it reads as below, obviously I have removed any personal details, but for reference the "PROPRIETOR" is the Administrator?

PROPRIETOR: XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX Executrix of the deceased XXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXX of Address X

Now am I right the meaning of "Executrix" is below?

"An executrix refers to a woman who will serve as the executor of a person's last will and testament upon their death"

Now correct me if I am wrong? but how can a executrix be a executor of a persons will when said person died Intestate? or without a will!

All help would be greatly appreciated..!

Do you speak to your mother? Have you asked her about this?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

          I don't understand the question.

Original question - Do you speak to your mother? Have you asked her about this?

Answer - NO - My Mother (administrator) lead me to believe he had a will until I found out in 2021 he did not, and in fact died Intestate!

My mother stopped speaking with me as soon as I found out there was no will and started asking questions!
