  • my friend died now some solicitor is trying to get me removed from her houae

    My friend died she wanted me to have the house for when her estranged family show up

    now some solicitor is saying they are executor by a grant of probate and served me with a claim of possession

    How can I stop this please also she did another will but we didn't register it

    If this other will is (a) a later will (b) genuine and (c) valid you need to take professional legal advice urgently. Strap yourself in for a hard and expensive fight.

    Otherwise, you will be needing to find somewhere else to live.

      If you did not 'register' it, it may be that it is preferable to an earlier one. If so you should get it registered.
