My dad has lived with his partner for 29 years in her home. She has passed away 2 weeks ago and her children are asking for my dad to leave already. The will apparently doesn't say he can stay but surely they can't just make him leave so soon, he is 87 and has contributed to the household bills , furnishings and upkeep of the property. Can they evict him easily?

He almost certainly will have a beneficial interest in the home, which will give him a financial share in the property
He might not be the legal owner, but he would be entitled to a share in any sale proceeds or rental income.
Having a beneficial interest also gives him a right to live in the property.
So tell him to sit tight and possibly have an initial consultation with a solicitor to check his position
(many solicitors offer a free or fixed fee initial consultation)
