Hello - hope this one will be an easy one to answer. Coming to the end of probate for my late father-in-law, and am about to send off Form DJP to the Land Registry to remove his name from the title deeds - my mother-is-law is still alive and it is a spousal will. My only issue is that I'm alarmed by the statement on the Land Registry website that they will destroy any documents sent to them! These death certificates cost money and I am guarding them with my life as I may still have need of them even though the end is in sight. Emailed LR via their contact form over a week ago - expect they are still snowed under. Thanks

Thanks - I think I must be a bit thick as still confused. The only death certificates I have are the green certified copies, which I think we paid £15 each for. Will LR Legard this as an "original copy of death certificate"? If I take a copy of this and send it would I have to go through the faff of getting it certified?
