  • residual beneficiary worries

I`ve only just registered to try and shed some light on what the next step is to try and nudge an executor into action and as to what demands are reasonable for me to make of them.
I am one of the residual beneficiaries.
Probate was granted nov 2019 after my uncles death in 2017.My two cousins are executors. The house is still not up for sale (however all specific beneficiaries have been settled according to will). It now seems an incredibly long time for these matters not to be resolved .i`ve asked for a summary of accounts but have been dodged by one executor who says its their solicitor who is very tardy with things.I`m now leaning towards `suspicion` as they are reluctant to take my calls and all i do get is a list of family woes.
Can I demand to see the accounts thus far?i`m only able to contact one executor and have been constantly sidestepped in getting contact details of second executor.I do know the executor wishes to buy house of deceased and they re insisting that we accept a valuation of 3 years ago at time of death. Is it reasonable to expect a current valuation (now 3 years on) and potentially would that attract capital gains tax ?Is it a potential ploy to buy house at a much lower historical price.
Executor (we`ll call them 1) tells me executor 2 cannot deal with anything as they are looking after 90 year old mother. How is the best way to nudge them into some transparency?
There has never been any information forthcoming and on the rare occasion they speak to me its waffle and no detail.
Again i ask what should i be asking and legally be especting to hear from the executor 1 as myself being a residual beneficiary.

    Here`s hoping !
