Probate Grant - just how long does it take ?

Applied back in July 2019 using on-line system and just as we thought it was going to be completed after 14 weeks was told we had to make a post/paper application because the executorship had been renounced/transferred. Made a fresh application Oct 1st and apart from an acknowledgement have heard nothing. Cannot contact London office, either they wont answer their phone or is permanently engaged with no call queing system.

How long are other waiting for their applications ?

On average between 3 and 6 months, but can be much longer if a complex estate

I've recently been granted probate, albeit on a simple estate, and that took about 3 months. It would have been quicker had they not insisted my scanned copies of the death certificate were not up to their requirements (but wouldn't tell me what was wrong with them) - in the end I had to send them the original (which they did return promptly though).
