Can a will have a hand-written amendment to it after it has been executed. Also can staples be removed from a will ?

Wills can have amendments provided signed and witnessed by the testator (person writing the Will) and the two witnesses at the same time. Even signing and having witnessed signature doesn’t mean it won’t be challenged. Paper lips, staples etc should never be removed as amethyst says most definitely open to challenge.I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.
